    Pros +

    • Location, cleanliness, friendly staff
    • Room size was spacious for Japanese hotels.Location was good. Bus stops nearby. Good selection of restaurants within walking distance.
    • Location is good to connect with the ferry to Osaka or the bus to Fukuoka. Staff are very nice and for what's worth the price is reasonable.

    Cons -

    • 1. Every Japanese hotel I've stayed at has bad pillows. Very thin and not comfortable.2. Electrical plug-ins not sufficient in quantity and quality. Today, everyone needs at least 2 plug ins. My room had 2 that didn't work at all. I had to use the plugins in the bathroom and by the entrance door.3. The bath spa was disappointing. In a city of onsens, this hotel's was small, dark and not well maintained.
    • The room had cigar burns everywhere and smelled like cigarrette smoke even if the staff told us it was non-smoke. The humidity was so bad in the bathroom that the shower roof condensated water even when off.
    • The staff was inept, the facilities were filthy, the location was close to nothing, and the photos on booking did not correspond with the reality. Whatever you do, do not book a massage through the hotel. First of all they will move your appointment around without informing you, give you false information saying the masseuse will come to your room, and when you do eventually get to receiving the massage, it's in a closet sized converted maintenance room that hasn't been cleaned in years. There were dust bunnies on the floor the size of slippers, it smelled terrible, and they gave you a massage while you were laying on your side. My friend's masseuse answered her phone for private phone calls twice during our sixty minutes, and mine never put down his cell phone, doing 40 minutes with just one hand. When he finally did put away his cell phone, he put it in his bag, which was slung over his shoulder and it hit me in the face every time he moved. In short, the opposite of relaxing, and over priced to boot. There is nothing around the hotel, other than a ramen store and Moss burger, so you are stuck with packing your own food in or buying from the over priced restaurant. The in house bath is tiny, and fits three people comfortably. I've been to neighborhood sentos that are bigger and cleaner. There is black mold visible on the ceilings and on the floor. In short, it was horrible, don't be taken in by the photos and the price.

Not a single thing, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had.

Location was good to supermarket and cafes. View from room was nice

Bed was like sleeping on springs. No cushion.

    9TobiasPosted on: 10-4-2024

Staff is friendly and accommodating, even with language differences. The breakfast buffet is great with a good selection of items. Room service is more frequent than advertised.

    8MichaelPosted on: 8-16-2024

    Dated but everything worked.

The mattress was hard and springy.

    10ChristinePosted on: 5-19-2024

We didn’t have breakfast. Location excellent

Perhaps a sign Requesting guests refrain from smoking immediately prior to using insensitive so they don’t pollute the air with cigarette breath

    7ChihhuaPosted on: 3-13-2024

The rooms are large but this is also reflected in the accommodation costOld-fashioned hotel, but clean and comfortable to stay in

not too much choice for easting, a bit far from train station

    3WalerowiczPosted on: 2-23-2024

    Poor

It smelled like cigarettes In the rooms and elevators. The carpet seemed old and dirty. The furniture needs replacing

    4JordiPosted on: 11-28-2023

It was a clean hotel, and the American/Japanese employee was extremely helpful and respectful

The whole hotel felt like a walking billboard, where they tried to sell you more stuff. The location was far from everything. You had to pay extra to use the gymI couldn't use the onsen because I have tattoos

    8SophiaPosted on: 11-12-2023

Wonderful friendly staff - especially the one guy who was half Japanese half American. The room was a good size. the onsen was fine.

I had a smoking room as the hotel was fully booked - not their fault - but was awful having to walk into that smell at then end of the day. there was a spray available so I used that and opened the windows to air the place.

    9MarcelPosted on: 4-13-2023

Everything was great and the staff was super helpfull.Nice that you can rent bikes here too.

Bed was a bit small for 2 persons.

    9UdryPosted on: 2-7-2023

The location was not the best it being a 40 minute walk from the station, however there are buses that stop in the area. There is also a shuttle bus service from the hotel to and from the station. Right around the corner is a ramen restaurant with one of the best ramen I ever had. The hot spring is nice and relaxing.

The room smelled a little bit like sulfur which was a little bit annoying but you'll grow accustomed to it.

    6Linda A.Posted on: 1-7-2023

the onsen was good and bus stop close to Kannawa station.

rooms were very old and the breakfast was always too cold.

    7IsaacPosted on: 12-28-2022

Good location, convenient vending machines including a couple for alcohol. Great Onsen.

Unfortunately I was only able to get a smoking room, so the smell was a bit much for me. The carpets around the building could use a refreshing.

    8NorPosted on: 12-25-2022

Location, public bath, clean & comfortable room. Walking distance to bus stop so easy to go anywhere

    7DavidPosted on: 12-24-2021

The service was good. The room was larger than expected.

The room was very old. The gym was only available from 10.

    10KeithPosted on: 12-5-2025

    Close to the ferry port

    Not many restaurants nearby

    9GregPosted on: 2-26-2024

The only reason I have downgraded this hotel a little bit is because the bed was simply way too hard. I even like a hard bed and it was too hard for me. It just was not comfortable. Other than that everything was great.
